Full Moon Healing Ceremony: Step 5 (2.7.17)

Preparing for the Full Moon Healing Ceremony for survivors of childhood sexual abuse scheduled for Friday, February 10, 2017, 7:00 pm, EST. Read previous posts to catch up. This ceremony is open to people from all walks of life to heal themselves, however the primary focus is for people like me who were sexually assaulted as children. Thank you Donald Trump for bringing #sexualassault to the forefront for discussion.

STEP 5: Prepare an altar to honor the child in you. Create this altar on a table or some other surface that feels right to you. The goal is to be able to look at the altar during the ceremony. Place things on this altar that represent you as a child. If you don’t have any toys or mementos from your childhood, draw a picture of them, or write out what they were in colorful crayons or markers. Place a photograph of yourself at the age that the abuse first occurred. If you don’t have a photograph of yourself, draw a picture of yourself at that age. If you can’t draw (which is not true), draw whatever you can to represent your child self. Add anything else to the altar that feels right to you. Place a candle on the altar to light to represent God, the Universe, Light, Love, and the life force that created you. Add your favorite plants, rocks, or flowers. When you look at this altar, it should remind you of you.#reclaimingourselves #healingourselves #femininerising #goddessenergy
